Chicago will be treated to the wonderful sounds of not one, not two, but SEVEN DJs, producers, and vocalists at Deadbeats: Chicago. The Deadbeats Tour is traveling all around the U.S. this Fall and, thanks to React Presents, it will be making a stop in Chicago.
Taking place at the Navy Pier's indoor ballrooms, attendees will get the chance to see killer opening acts including hip-hop artist Eprom, UK electro-trap artists Diskord, future-electro artist k?d and Ghostface Killah, the well-known rapper from Wu-Tang Clan. Then, pumping fans up for an awesome night, David Lee Crow, better known as Ghastly will be mixing some of his hits, along with his own dubstep and hip-hop-inspired beats. Iconic for his bleached hair, Lennon shades and pet snake, Ghastly has worked hard to make it to the top. Despite having a tough relationship with his parents and even overcoming homelessness, the young DJ has worked with top OWSLA and Mad Decent artists such as Skrillex, MIJA, Diplo and more. This year alone, Ghastly has played fests such as Spring Awakening, EDC Las Vegas, and Summer Set. And finally, the main headlining attraction, Zeds Dead! This Canadian duo, most well-known for their dreamy, melodic dubstep remixes with chillingly-good wobbly, industrial-sounding drops, will be bumping beats until 11 PM. This summer, they've played festivals all over the country such as Shaky Beats, Summer Camp and Lollapalooza just to name a few. Don't forget to practice how to properly "throw your Z's up"! According to pictures of the duo throwing it up themselves, one should use his or her left hand on-top of their right hand, connected at the thumb tip, creating a "Z" which can clearly be read from the stage. The "Z Hands" are also printed on shirts, pins, and other merch, available on Zeds Dead's website.
