Justice, Dash Berlin, Malaa and More Announced for FreakNight Festival

Come one, come all! The sinister circus is coming to town and with it comes acts that will thrill you, chill you, and leave you wanting more. After two years away from home, FreakNight Festival is making it's triumphant return to WAMU Theater and Seattle for its 21st installment on October 27th. This year FreakNight returns as a single day festival as compared to it's usual two-day extravaganza, but don't worry, USC Events has curated a truly, jaw-dropping lineup that has many of us already dreading the amount of set time conflicts. It really is that good. Headlining FreakNight under the big top this year will be the legendary French duo Justice! Fresh off of their world tour for their most recent album 'Woman,' Justice have been long requested for a PNW appearance, and that day has finally come. Other attractions (headliners) at this years sinister circus include Adventure Club, Dash Berlin, Bro Safari, Brodinski, Infected Mushroom, Malaa, TEED and many more plus one 'Special Guest' headliner yet to be announced.

This year's lineup has already been a bit controversial across social media with some would be festival goers complaining that it is one of the worst lineups that they have ever seen. We here at OTB are a bit baffled by those assertions. Instead of the same old Top 100 DJs who roll through the North West on a regular basis, we are treated to a diverse lineup that spans the length and breadth of the electronic music world. Everything from drum & bass to future house, garage to psy-trance, to nu disco to trap can be found at this year's event. In a move that surprised many, USC Events has continued on their recent trend of providing extremely diverse lineups that don't just feature the same artists every time. For those who might be put off by this lineup and who want Top 100 DJ's you are still in good hands with the likes of Adventure Club, Borgore, Bear Grillz, Herobust and Crankdat. However, I would highly recommend exploring outside of the artists who you already know and try something new this Freaknight Festival. Brodinski, Liquid Soul, Malaa, Infected Mushroom and TEED (Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs) are all very different musically but are definitely worth checking out. Who knows, you might find something new you really like! FreakNight Festival is fast approaching. Tickets go on sale on 9/14. You can find info on tickets and everything else via the links below.
