For the past 4 years Austin has played host to Euphoria Music Festival, a camping festival kicking off the season in the South filled with jam bands, electronic music and an amazing vibe. In celebration of their 5 year anniversary, Euphoria announced an expansion to 4 days (April 7-10) and the announcement of Bassnectar as the headliner of the festival.
Euphoria 2015 Aftermovie
After Pretty Lights headlined last year’s event, Euphoria had to one-up themselves, and after being requested since day 1, Vivid Sound Entertainment finally has tacked Bassnectar to join the community at Euphoria. I’ve been told it’s one of the most tight-knit, like-minded communities out there with an infectious vibe (it is Austin.) Bassnectar’s fans have probably been attending Euphoria since the beginning, so it was only a matter of time before the bass god made his stop in Austin.
Stages by a pond, minutes away from downtown Austin and an appealing ticket price ($109, $164 to camp) Euphoria is an excellent option for the festival-goer this coming up season. Being relatively early in the season (April) there aren’t many events clogging up the schedule and with Texas weather hitting 100 degrees in May, the timing of it couldn’t be better.
Check out last year’s aftermovie and listen to the official track of 2015’s Euphoria, Eliot Lipp’s “Telescope.” Be on the lookout for a lineup announcement soon and get ready for a year full of Euphoria. Purchase your tickets now before ticket prices start increasing.
