Confessing Love for Mercer's New EP "Opium"

The French DJ and producer Mercer recently released a two track EP titled ''Opium'' on Tchami's label Confession. "Opium" is the second EP on the imprint following Tchami's massive "After Life". The title track ''Opium'' is a versatile one that can be played on a festival mainstage with a few heavy drops, but prides itself on the smooth French House style that works well in an intimate club too. The high octane tune was first featured in Tchami's "What To Expect" mix when the label was initially launched last year. The second track is the collaboration between Mercer and the Dutch producers Mightyfools. "Drop it Low'' is more aggressive than ''Opium'' with bigger drops and the heavy style of  Mightyfools, but clearly accentuated by Mercer's signature-style. Both "Opium" and ''Drop it Low'' are classic Mercer and examples of what is to come this year in the French House genre and on Confession.

Having released some pretty massive records in the past such as "Welcome To The Jungle," "Turn It Up" and more, Mercer's new EP will surely receive massive support from the cast of French DJs on the Pardon My French Tour. Tchami, DJ Snake, Malaa and of course Mercer will visit six cities across the U.S. starting in April. Check out the dates and get your tickets.
