Once again, Verboten in Brooklyn, New York is bringing an amazing line-up of talented artists to the city. Next month, on October 10, Claptone/RÜFÜS Du Sol [live]/AFFKT will bring their deep house vibes to Verboten’s dance floors. A major player in the New York electronic club scene, Verboten has featured artists such as Skream, John Digweed, and Dusky, only to continue this streak with the lineup on October 10, 2014. Claptone releases have been birthed on Germany’s influential Exploited label, picking up props from the likes of Pete Tong, DJ Sneak, Soul Clap, DJ Hell, Jesse Rose, and A-Trak along the way. On top of this, no one knows who, or what, this masked man is, but he creates deep house rhythms unlike anything ever seen. His set at Verboten will certainly prove to be yet another hauntingly beautiful example of his talent. RÜFÜS Du Sol, whose stunning performance at SXSW graced many peoples' highlight list of that music festival, will be playing a live show that brings an interesting twist to the evening. Every remix of his heard thus far can be defined as the epitome of “chill.” Hailing from Valencia, Spain, AFFKT will take over the decks first. Blending a variety of influences together to form a truly individual sound, AFFKT brings a new perspective with every performance. Committed to progress whilst showing a healthy respect for the past is one of AFFKT’s most unique audible features. Above all, AFFKT is synonymous with electronic music as one of the scene's most active regenerators of contemporary house music; he incorporates music from across the musical spectrum to form new amalgamations to create music that he feels, loves and knows.
