Due to overwhelming demand and increasing anticipation, world-renowned electronic dance music producer and trance icon Armin Van Buuren has expanded his forthcoming "Armin Only: Intense" world tour in North America supporting his latest album Intense. In addition to the previously announced dates which launch on April 11 at Madison Square Garden in New York City, followed by stops at such other major venues as the United Center in Chicago and The Forum in Los Angeles, the jaunt will now roll through San Diego at the Valley View Casino Center on May 10. For those attending Ultra Music Festival in Miami Saturday, March 29, Armin will reveal a portion of the "Armin Only: Intense" show. This is the very first time that he has delivered this landmark stage show to these shores. The "Armin Only: Intense" tour, promoted exclusively in North America by Live Nation, features one of the most immersive and inimitable productions in EDM history, centered around a full five-hour set of music by Armin. Boasting acrobats, dancers, musicians, mind-blowing visuals and scorching pyrotechnics, it's an explosive evening—literally. In order to concoct this experience, Armin tapped the talents of noted theater director Jos Thie and Sander Reneman [Owner of 250K]. Their combined vision results in an unforgettable show designed to make a lasting impression. It's truly unlike anything out there.
In addition, Armin has invited numerous high-profile friends and collaborators to the party. Over the course of the evening, he'll be joined by Trevor Guthrie to perform the international smash hit, "This Is What It Feels Like," which has over 36 million views and counting on YouTube. Meanwhile, Fiora Cutler is set to lend her silky and sensual voice to the trance epic "Waiting for the Night" and Cindy Alma will appear for the gorgeous anthem "Beautiful Life." Expect to hear vocalists Richard Bedford, Lauren Evans, and Laura Jansen as well as acclaimed violinist Miri Ben Ari who will be appearing at the New York gig only.
For now, Armin Van Buuren has been giving audiences a taste of what's to come from the show with his Intense Road Movie series on his YouTube page. 25 installments parsed out over the course of the year follow him backstage, behind-the-scenes, and on stage in front of some of the world's biggest audiences.
