Two weeks from now, festival goers will be basking in the sun and taking in the tunes at Sunset Music Festival. The lineup is stacked with artists such as Major Lazer, Above & Beyond, Zeds Dead, RL Grime and many more. While they recruited stellar headliners, the other artists drew our attention. They curated a variety of acts ranging from progressive house to future bass with artists such as A-Trak, Gareth Emery, Illenium, Snails and more. If you are going to SMF here are 10 artists we think you should definitely catch:
Denver-based DJ, Illenium has made quite the name for himself with notable releases such as his album Ashes. His melodic beats take listeners on a journey and his set will be no different. Come prepared with tissue, cause he might make you cry.
2) RL Grime
Henry Steinway has been in the industry for years and yet he never ceases to amaze his listeners. He recently released 'Reims' and has started being more vocal about his album that he's been working on so we expect to see him play some of his unreleased material here.
3) G Jones
Known for his glitchy bass style, he has been dominating the underground bass scene for years. Having released his EP 'Visions' not too long ago and more recently releasing his track with Bleep Bloop, we are excited to see what he has in store for this festival.
Justin shook the electronic dance community with his heartfelt and emotional EP 'Skeletons'. He's been leaning towards live sets more recently and we definitely do not want to miss this one at SMF.
We first came across Drezo when Jauz played his 'Bodies' remix and have been a fan ever since. His basslines reel his listeners in. He hasn't put out too much lately which makes us curious as to what he will play.
Josh Legg is known for his melodic tunes and his sunset set at SMF will be no different. His live set will be a great precursor to hype sets that will take place later that night.
7) Above & Beyond
They've been slowly releasing tracks over the past year that are similar to their older club tracks. We at OTB are excited to hear what new music they have cooking in the Anjuna kitchen.
We've covered him before but this kid has not slowed down. Coming fresh off tour with The Chainsmokers, his track 'Lose Myself' broke into the Billboard Charts. He'll play with your heart strings and you will not be disappointed.
9) Bleep Bloop
Known for his glitchy bass heavy beats, Bleep Bloop has been gaining quite a momentum among bassheads. We're excited to see what alien sounds he has in store for his listeners.
10) Zeds Dead
This list would be incomplete if we did not mention them. It's been an exciting year for these guys, having rereleased an album and debuting their label. We envision this set to showcase all the incredible artists that are on Deadbeats along with their tracks.
If you haven't got your tickets yet, you should probably grab them before they sell out. This is one festival you do not want to miss.
